Mrs. Paula Reyes - Directress
I have been with Northstar Montessori since 2002. I started out as a volunteer and knew that I wanted to be part of this growing family. Since then I have watched many children grow and develop. After so many years in the classroom I have decided to go back to school and enrich myself. I have always loved working with children and that is one of the big reasons why I wanted to become a teacher. It is satisfying knowing that as a teacher, we help in the children’s development for the future. To me, it doesn't feel like a job but more of a privilege to be around young minds. The best part of this job is that every day is full of surprises, new challenges and pure fulfillment. Seeing the faces of the students when they complete a task brings pure joy to my heart. I have been with Northstar for over 15 years and every year has been filled with memories that I will never forget. The staff, the school, the students, the parents, and the environment are all a big part of why I am at Northstar. I feel very lucky to be able to work in such a great facility, it truly feels like home.
Mrs. Sherine Yousif - Directress
I am a graduate from the Montessori Program from Sheridan College in 2013 and have graduated from Durham College with an Early Childhood Education diploma. It has always been a passion of mine to work with children. With over 10 years of working experience I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of children which include children with speech impairments, learning disabilities, and physical challenges.
I love working with children and believe in laying down the foundation for their future. I always strive for success and believe anything is possible!
I am very excited to be a part of the wonderful staff at Northstar Montessori. I feel very lucky to be able to work in such a great facility that truly honours the Montessori philosophy.

My natural inclination has consistently leaned towards working with children. My earliest exposure to it was through my interactions with my younger brother. These experiences served as the foundation for my motivation, patience, and nurturing skills which evolved as I assisted him in his learning journey. As time passed, my commitment deepened, leading me to choose a career path in Early Childhood Education. In April 2023, I successfully completed my studies at Sheridan College, earning a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, and subsequently became a Registered Early Childhood Educator. Working with Northstar as a placement student was incredibly enriching, as I had the privilege of learning from experienced Educators, which significantly contributed to my growth. I am genuinely delighted to be part of this exceptional team and organization. My aspiration to work with children has always been driven by the immense rewards and satisfaction it offers. The affection and warmth reciprocated by young minds are genuinely heart warming. Witnessing children's daily progress, growth, and the realization of their potential is an indescribable feeling. These things help me to continue to put effort toward working with children and educating myself.
