My credentials include a B.A. in English Literature, Law Clerk Certificate from Sheridan College, and I received my Montessori training from the Toronto Montessori Institute with a teaching diploma in Lower and Upper Elementary. I am a wife and the mother of two boys: a 17 year old and a 6 year old. The younger one enjoys his days being part of the Lower Elementary 4 here at Northstar. I love learning and I love children. I am thrilled to be a Montessori teacher as it allows me the opportunity to explore my passion for learning and encourage the same in each child I teach. It is extremely fulfilling to be able to be surrounded by children and their world, be part of their life, inspire and nurture them every day. I love being a teacher at Northstar Montessori School because I strongly believe that it is a true Montessori environment, where children are loved, cared for, and provided with a very good education.

Mrs. Arty Ramputty - Directress

I joined Northstar Montessori School in January 2009 as a student teacher. This year I am delighted to be back as a teacher for upper elementary, after working as an elementary teacher at another local Montessori School.

My motto is “education is the key to success”.

I graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Psychology. I obtained my Montessori training from Toronto Montessori Institute, earning a teaching diploma in lower and upper elementary. I will graduate from Nipissing University with a Master of Education in June 2012. My great interest in meditation keeps me motivated and inspired to be a whole person and to pursue lifelong learning.

I am a proud mother of 8-year-old twins, a boy and a girl, who have attended a Montessori school since they were toddlers. They inspired me to become a Montessori teacher. I enjoy being with children, being a part of their life, and helping them to make discoveries; sharing knowledge with them and watching them grasp and grow. I love guiding little souls, encouraging them to make a difference in the world and follow their dreams.
